Hailing from Edinburgh, Scotland, Ali McLeod maintains a multi-dimensional career as a gigging drummer, freelance producer, and Co-founder of Black Note Transcriptions. Since earning his M.M. in Contemporary Performance & Production from Berklee College of Music, Ali plans to open his own recording studio and draw on inspiration from his time working with multiple Grammy-winning engineer Steve Genewick and Recording Academy 2010 “Producer of the Year” Gregg Field, McLeod has also recorded with artists such as Nona Hendryx (Labelle) and Marcelo Woloski (Snarky Puppy).
